Mognet Summoner Series – Ifrit [Dec 16th]
Mognet Summoner Series at the Circuit Series!
Here at Mognet we have done everything we could to give Final Fantasy TCG the love it deserved in North America. After the very short Season One, we went to work using our connections to see if more events could be hosted around NA. This is where Alter Reality Games (ARG) enters the battlefield. They currently host events for game such as Pokemon, Force of Will, and Cardfight Vanguard with several hundred players gathering for a weekend of intense battles and fun. This will be the first of a series of events hosted by FFTCG Mognet and ARG. With continued support of these events, we hope to add a National Championship down the road with amazing prizing.
PLAYER RANKING SYSTEM
Not only do we want to host more events for FFTCG fans across NA, we want to give you bragging rights. We will be adding a tab on our site in the near future that will display the best players from across NA who participated in ARG events. In the future we plan to announce our end of season prizing, but for now the point breakdown is as follows:
1st: 8 pts
2nd: 7 pts
Top 4: 6 pts
Top 8: 5 pts
If over 64 players, 3 points will extend down to top 16 players.
On top of this, there is also an event point modifier depending on the event:
Less than 32 players: points are halved.
32 or more players: points remain the same
128 or more players: points are doubled.
Saturday December 16th – Ifrit’s Challenge
Sunday December 17th – ARG Sponsored Event
Join us in beautiful Florida this December to battle it out for amazing Final Fantasy themed prizing and to start your conquest as the top player in North America.
Swiss rounds will be Best of One with 30 minute time limits. If a winner is not determined in time, players will receive 0 points for the match (Double Loss). We will be using the standard rules for FFTCG premier events as put forth by Square Enix.
HOW MANY ROUNDS?
The number of rounds played in a ARG Circuit Series tournament is based on the total number of players enrolled in the event.
4 – 8 Players 3 Rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to Top 2
9 – 16 Players 4 Rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to Top 4
17 – 32 Players 5 Rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to Top 4
33 – 64 Players 6 Rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to Top 8

TOP 8 TIME LIMIT [Matches in top 8 will be played Best of Three]
70 minutes – this includes Top 8, Top 4, and Championship match.
– If players in the Top 8 go to time, they continue with normal end of turn procedures;
Turn 0: The player whose turn it is when time is called
Turn 1: Opposing player
Turn 2: Last turn for the player that time was originally called on.
Turn 3: Opposing players last turn.
– If no winner is decided after the turns are finished, and this is a Top 8 match, and the players are both tied on damage, the winner is decided by sudden death, this means the first player to deal damage to their opponent, wins the match. If damage is not tied, the player with more damage taken loses. If game 2 goes to time and no winner is decided in turns, whoever won game 1 wins the match.
